Jo is the Data and Attendance Strategy Lead for Tove Learning Trust, working with 15 schools covering primary, secondary and alternative provision. With a degree in Business and French from Loughborough University, she worked in purchasing and project management for 10 years; following a career break during which she served as a school governor and a magistrate, she decided to take a change in direction and began working in education in 2007 covering exams, attendance and data management and led several MIS migration projects.

In 2019 she became the Data Lead for Tove Learning Trust, adding attendance to the role in 2025. She is passionate about using data to improve pupil outcomes and has a proven track record of using data driven systems, implementing changes to improve efficiency, reducing workload, sharing good and best practice and providing training.

For Jo, EduDATA creates a space for Data Professionals across the sector to work together, collaborate and share knowledge and experience which is invaluable, and she is keen to facilitate sharing of good practice and thoughtful discussion around issues and solutions in the education sector.
