Data and Systems Manager, Omega Multi Academy Trust
I am the Data and Systems Manager working for Omega Multi Academy Trust. My route into data was anything but linear: I began my career in South Korea as an English language teacher then teaching team leader. Leading teams overseas highlighted for me how much could be achieved by empowering others with the right tools, clarity, and support—an idea that later became central to my work with data.
After completing an MA in Data and Quantitative Methods at the University of Warwick, I discovered a natural intersection between this analytical training and my experience in education. This led me into trust-level data management, where I've worked developing a trust analytics solution in PowerBI, migrated our schools to a new MIS (who hasn't?), and been dragged kicking and screaming into the world of GDPR.
I'm particularly interested in helping schools move beyond compliance‑driven data use and towards approaches that genuinely strengthen teaching, learning, and organisational decision-making. For me, EduDATA plays a vital role in this mission: too often, data professionals in education work in isolation, unsure whether their processes reflect best practice. EduDATA creates the community, transparency, and shared expertise the sector needs—bringing a previously mysterious workload into the light.
